Description
Vitamin K plays an important role in coagulation, better known as blood clotting. Clotting is a process that helps prevent excessive bleeding both inside and outside the body. Your body needs vitamin K in order to produce the proteins that go to work during the clotting process. If you’re vitamin K deficient, your body doesn’t have enough of these proteins. The telltale sign of vitamin K deficiency is bleeding too much.
Precaution
Fasting for minimum 8 hours is preferred for Vitamin K test.
